Andrea Cooke

Andrea Cooke is the CEO and Co-founder of the Alliance for AI Transformation and Innovation, a nonprofit, woman-owned small business dedicated to public interest in emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence (AI). The Alliance aims to establish a robust governance framework for advancing technologies, ensuring safety and fostering innovation. It envisions an inclusive environment where all, especially women and communities of color, can actively engage and benefit from the AI industry’s growth.

Ms. Cooke, a Google Health Tech Equity Rising Innovator and healthcare professional with over two decades of experience, is committed to driving health equity and digital health initiatives. Her extensive background includes managing federal health programs and advocating for sustainable policy changes in health insurance at major organizations like the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association and federal agencies including the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).

With a career highlighted by managing nearly $1 billion in grants and contracts, Ms. Cooke has been instrumental in implementing the Affordable Care Act, providing millions of uninsured Americans with health access. Her academic credentials include a B.S. in Biology from Virginia Tech, an MBA from Howard University, and a Master of Health Care Innovation from the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine.

Kiera Adams serves as the Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer at the Alliance for AI Transformation and Innovation. With over five years of experience in the media and entertainment industry, her expertise at Warner Brothers Discovery has been pivotal in managing substantial budgets and fostering strategic partnerships, notably with CNN and other major networks. A Google Tech Equity Collective Rising Innovator, Kiera drives growth and innovation within the Alliance for AI, capitalizing on her deep understanding of market dynamics and customer engagement, honed through her experience in launching high-impact media campaigns and navigating complex advertising landscapes.
